Pysytkö oikealla reitillä pelastukseen?
Matt. 7:14 | mutta se portti on ahdas ja tie kaita, joka vie elämään, ja harvat ovat ne, jotka sen löytävät. |
Submitted by Cheryl Reagan as given by the Holy Spirit Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:14 Are you enjoying your walk? Are you comfortable where you are? Do you like all of your surroundings and the people who are in your circle of friends? Most likely you are even grateful for your life, your position, your family and your path that seems to be set out for you (or one that you have chosen for yourself). Do you believe in a divine creator or do you live as if there is only one time you can go through this life and there is nothing beyond it so you live life at its fullest in your opinion without even thinking there is another option? These are all answerable questions for most of us and even if some are challenging, most likely you can answer all of them honestly and quickly with assurance that there is no right or wrong answers because after all it is your life. The word that needs to be focused on is a short but powerful word identified as life ~ so short and so neglected for our carnal minds to get the entire meaning until usually when we are more aged and mature in our understanding ~ and yet, sadly there are those that never get it. If you were to be told that your life has already been chosen for you and it would be a simple matter to be able to rest in that course designed for you, day after day and month after month, year after year, through anything and everything that can come against you or whatever is put before you without doubting its outcome ~ would you believe it? The narrow path of the Lord Jesus Christ is the perfect path ~ after all He is the author and finisher of our faith. (Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2) ~ He planned your life from its beginning all the way unto the end ~ that is, unless you get in the way. It is the path that King David so eloquently stated that, (He leads me besides still waters He restores my soul in Psalms 23:2). What is still waters? Why does it seem we have so much turmoil and rough seas in our lives? What are we doing wrong? Why can others seem to have it all together and never seemed burdened with cares of this world? We all have been taught to be responsible, get an education, get a job, take care of yourselves and your family and while all of this seems to be an honest approach to your life ~ we should ask what is wrong with this picture? Where is GOD? Oh, you say ~ we love God, we go to church, we read the Bible, teach our children how to behave, and tithe monthly to our congregation and we never forget the poor and needy during the holidays! This article is going to challenge those who think they have it all together in regards to their approach to their life and those who they think they are responsible. Is Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of our faith? ~ those of us who are called Christians would agree that this is a concrete solid precept that we can or should adhere to ~ the problem is with the word faith ~ do we really trust and turn over to the Lord every concern that has to do with our lives? Do we really believe He can not only see us and is concerned about us, but that He is actually working things out in our lives behind the scenes every moment of every day for our entire existence on this planet and in the life to come. You are probably saying well, He wants us to make the choices! He wants us to take charge of our lives! He wants us to be responsible! This is the challenge for your today to read, pray and understand that this is directly in opposition to the things He taught us when He was in the world in the flesh. The narrow path is clearly identified as the path that HE CHOSES for us ~ that HE LEADS us down ~ that HE not only is the AUTHOR AND FINISHER of our faith ~ it is only through HIM, Hearing His voice and obeying that we could EVER walk in HIS perfect will. The narrow path is the less travelled road because it requires you to go past the point of accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior ~ into becoming so intimate with Him that He alone leads, guides and directs your path. You are probably saying that He does not require that of us ~ really? Did He not say that we are the sheep of His pasture and we would follow no other shepherd because we would hear His voice alone? (My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: John 10:27) Today you will probably either be very decisive that you are on the narrow path because you hear His voice and obey; or you discover you are walking in the wisdom of this world and go and do what you think is best for you and your family ~ but today - is the first day of the rest of your life. Are you walking the narrow path as a child? Are you absolutely convinced you are part of the kingdom of God? Are you aligned more with the world and its ways of thinking, believing and doing then the ways of God and His kingdom? You not only have to be saved, but you must become born again as a little child; (Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. Mark 10:15) (But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Mark 10:14) The narrow path: are you on it? The following scripture is pertinent every day ~ for it is every day that the Lord gives us the fresh manna in hearing Him in order to stay on the narrow path. Today, is the day of salvation and deliverance; today if you will hear His voice; chose this day whom you will serve. (Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. REVELATION 3:20) |
